The mission and purpose of the Rockland Coast Guard City Committee is to support and foster a positive and enduring relationship with the U.S. Coast Guard personnel and their families while stationed in our community. The citizens of Rockland and our surrounding communities recognize the importance of the U.S. Coast Guard, their steadfast commitment to serve their country, and we welcome the opportunity to show our appreciation of all they do to give back to their community.
By providing events, partnerships, information, and a warm welcome to our community, we continue to remain aware of the importance of this support for U.S. Coast Guard personnel, and we do so in a number of ways, including:
Welcoming new U.S. Coast Guard Personnel and families as they relocate to the Rockland area.
Sponsoring annual and special recognition events for U.S. Coast Guard personnel, such as the annual Coast Guard Appreciation Dinner, Family cookouts, Fall Golf Tournament, and other events.
Assist in encouraging opportunities for tours of U.S. Coast Guard Boats and Ships and extend a warm welcome to those Ships and personnel visiting our area.
Maintaining social media channels to share information about upcoming events and maintaining close communication with Station and Unit commands.
