The Rockland Police Department is proud to announce the hiring of Officer Jacob Labo

Jacob comes from a military family; he was born in Bath, Maine, while his father was stationed at Naval Air Station Brunswick. Growing up at different military bases around the country, Jacob graduated high school in Massachusetts, and enlisted in the National Guard. During his time in the National Guard, Jacob was deployed to the southwest United States / Mexico border, assisting Border Patrol, and in combat operations in Afghanistan. Jacob was awarded the Army Good Conduct medal, Army Commendation medal and Combat Infantry Badge. Following his honorable discharge after 8 years in the National Guard, Jake completed the Maine Criminal Justice Academy pre-service training, and was employed as a summer reserve officer with the York, Maine Police Department. In 2016 Jacob started his full time law enforcement career here in Rockland. In 2018, Jacob graduated the 34th class of the Basic Law Enforcement Training Program (BLETP) at the Maine Criminal Justice Academy. Jacob most recently served as a Deputy with the Knox County Sheriff’s Department.
